Sakae Sushi, The Mines

Another day out in The Mines. Here we are... Sakae Sushi. Simply a post of food.

Its first outlet in Johor Bahru has opened in City Square.

You can order your meal yourself using this. Very good idea. So you do not have to wave until the waitress come.
Green plate @ RM1.99
Pink plate @ RM3.99

How nice!!
Small eaters
Oppsss... Time to do something to my hair.

Curry Udon @ RM12.90
I like the gravy very much.
Chicken with rice

Having Japanese cuisine made me thought of Kage. Shall get some friends to go again.
Here we come to the end of April. Are you ready for May? I must do my best to collect more memory before I end my degree life. Life comes first even though FYP is yet to be completed. Cheer everyone, we can do it!!

L'apprenti Putra Restaurant, UPM

Yes, don't feel doubt at the title. We have a fine dining restaurant in UPM. And finally we were here to try out. I must say nowhere can find such economic fine dining restaurant except this. It is located in UPM, right opposite the stadium. Check out the Facebook page.

We were looking for the way to farm that noon and ended up to have lunch here. A'la cart restaurant starts at 11.30am. Some of us visited the kitchen earlier but this was the first time to dine in. The interior was spacious and class. We were the first guests.
Everyone was like so jakun when looking at the menu. Kept asking what is this and what is that... Hmm... We still manage to order food in the end.

Garlic Bread
Classic Caesar with Salmon @ RM15.00
Best served with parmesan cheese. Everyone loves this.
Mushroom Soup @ RM9.00
I would say this is too thick but surprisingly it tasted good.
Lasagna @ RM18.00
My first try. Must be very fattening but who cares since it is nice.
And this is very big portion which I guess most of the ladies couldn't finish alone.
Baked Fillet of Seabass @ RM20.00
The fish. The sauce matched well with the fish.
Fish and chips @ RM17.00
With grilled tomato. Fresh and juicy.
Dessert time!! Warm bread and butter pudding @ RM12.00
No girl can resist dessert. Soft and fluffy butter bread but of course harder at the edges.

We paid as if we were dining in normal restaurant but we actually had quality food. No government tax and service tax. You can hardly find such pricing in KL. It worth more than the price and decided to go again before we graduated.

鼎泰豐 Din Tai Fung, The Gardens Mall

Din Tai Fung is originated from Taiwan and has over 40 outlets in 10 countries serving authentic Shanghainese and Taiwanese dishes. It also garnered 1 Michelin Star and won a number of awards.
I have heard of it some time ago and suggested to dine here. We went to The Gardens Mall outlet and it was almost full house during luncheon. I found it is a bit less spacious but luckily we were seated at the inner part where round table is.

Oppss... Blurry
Vinegar to be added to ginger for Xiao Long Bao.
Chilli oil best matches with the main course later.
Xiao Long Bao - the soup-filling dumpling
Each of it has at least 18 folds.
Be careful of the hot soup while enjoying the succulent Xiao Long Bao!
Close up to see the folds.
Pumpkin with salted egg
Crispy outer layer with salty egg fragrant plus soft and sweet pumpkin.
This is so nice that everyone likes very much.
This is mine.
Pork chop with ramen.
Very big piece of pork chop.
The soup is neither too thick nor too greasy.
Thumb up
Zha Jiang La Mian
They are really good in noodles.

三番王叻沙 Savage Restoran, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah

This is my second patronage to Savage. Get to know them from Facebook, however, the comments on food were quite extreme. For me, generally it is above average as the food is good and the boss and waitress are really polite. So, I am here again for the same food.

Opened since July 2012, go and show you support to them.
Like their Facebook page here.
Layout of the shop.
As you can see there is a standing fan, for your information, the dining is area is kinda warm.
Anyway, I can see the owner has tried to solve the issue by adding more fan to cool the area.
And, if I'm not mistaken they going to something to solve the problem efficiently.
Dried Curry Noodles @ Rm6.00
Frankly, this is a bit different from my expectation.
I thought it should be full of gravy. LOL
The signature dish -- Savage Seafood and Tomato Noodle
三番王海鲜蕃茄面 @ RM6.50
Thick tomato flavoured soup with prawn and la-la. Seafood is fresh and abundant.
Don't worry that the tomato soup will give sourish taste, it is actually well-sweeten by the seafood.
The brownish floss is egg. I always see this in Singapore style fish head noodles.
It is recommended to complement with noodles.
This is my second order so I choose bihun. Still tasty as I like bihun more.
Can you see the tomato puree? How good it is for health. LOL

Savage has a lot more in their menu like laksa, black pepper udon, Taiwanese style minced meat with rice, snacks and desserts. Try out someday, I assure they always show highest respect to customers all the time.

Sky Deck Restarant, Pariss Hotel

This is a super delayed post. It was about 3 months ago and until now only I get to post. LOL
Dinner with girls was damn enjoying. Good food, cosy ambiance, right people... nothing can be better than this.
Appetizer -- Smoked Salmon Salad
Ginger Pumpkin Soup
Served with garlic bread
Grilled Cajun Spring Chicken
Shepherd's Pie
No idea with this? We were too. This was cubed lamb with mashed potatoes on top.
Surprisingly, it tasted good.
